Blyss Therapies founder and resident Sports Therapist Alyssa is an enthusiastic young woman, passionate about helping others achieve holistic health and wellbeing. Alyssa’s vision is to empower, create awareness and inspire others to live their best possible life by looking after their mind and body.

Alyssa has worked as a Sports Therapist with Blyss for 5 years, treating clients from all walks of life. This also includes elite athletes, through working as a game day trainer and massage therapist with the Richmond Football Club for 5 years and more recently Melbourne Storm.

Alyssa prides herself on continuously learning and expanding her knowledge each year to help better service her clients. Recently she has completed a number of courses including;

  • Advanced Dry Needling
  • Mat Work Pilates
  • Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness
  • Crossfit Level 1
  • Holistic Lifestyle Coaching

Outside of work Alyssa lives and breathes health and fitness, enjoying Crossfit, gym, running, Yoga and getting outdoors especially with her adorable Alaskan Malamute Mischa. Practicing what she preaches, Alyssa maintains her body with several treatments per week, cooking and preparing nourishing meals as well as achieving recovery and relaxation through yoga.

Alyssa is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with her clients, helping them to achieve a better quality of life.

Steve joins Blyss Therapies with a broad range of elite sporting experience, including with the North Melbourne Football Club and Montrose Football Club. He has also successfully run a small clinic from home, building strong relationships with a local client base.

Steve thrives on being able to help others return to what they love doing and being able to function pain free in their everyday lifestyles. As a therapist Steve focuses on the body system as a whole, incorporating his hands on techniques with corrective exercises to improve the health of his clients. Steve is passionate about expanding his knowledge and improving his clinical work where ever possible to deliver the best possible results; where he is currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy).

Steve’s passions outside of work come from his love for all sports, in particular Basketball, Soccer and Football; where he is a keen Essendon supporter! On top of this, Steve enjoys spending time with friends and family and keeping active wherever possible.


April will often be the first face you see at the clinic, our amiable and witty Receptionist.

April has ballroom danced for over 10 years competing interstate for over 5.

Prior to joining the Blyss team, she spent several years working in the TV and media industry and also has over 5 years experience in sales. Working across many different facets of business, April has gained a wealth of knowledge in these areas that prove invaluable at Blyss. She prides herself on getting to know every client of Blyss, drawing upon an extensive foundation of interpersonal skills.

April has always had a passion for the way in which we, as humans, can achieve better health and an improved frame of mind by utlising Naturopathy. Naturopathy is a form of complementary medicine, both an art and a science. Utilising scientific evidence as well as traditional evidence in practice. Naturopathy is a whole medical system, encompassing all aspects of a person’s health and wellbeing to provide a holistic approach to treatment.

April is completing a Bachelor of Health Science Naturopathy to pursue this interest.

On the weekends you will find April at the Pilates studio or spending time with her family, consisting of 2 brothers, 3 sisters and of course her 8 little cute nieces and nephews with her miniature Maltese Poodle Bill.

Having worked in elite sporting facilities and private clinics, Thomas has experience in treating a variety of acute and chronic conditions and has since developed an interest in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of neck pain and headaches.

Personal experience with family members with chronic pain has inspired Thomas to educate himself about pain, injury, disease and potential treatments; this notion developed into his Osteopathic career and his passion for helping people return to and maintain their health.

As well as hands on treatment, Thomas incorporates dry needling, postural advice, exercises and practical lifestyle advice to assist in pain management and injury prevention.

In his spare time Thomas enjoys going on walking trails, travelling and trying new places to eat with friends and family.

Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy), RMIT University


Having worked in rural Queensland for the past 18 months, Sam has acquired great experience in treating a large variety of both people and conditions. Throughout his time in clinic, Sam has developed a strong interest in injury rehabilitation.

Pursuing his interest in injury rehab and prevention, as well as human movement as a whole, Sam is currently undertaking his Certificate 3 & 4 in Personal Training. Sam believes that this will be a great tool in not only providing injury rehabilitation but also to assist in diagnosis.

Sam’s passion for Osteopathy developed upon the idea of being able to take a holistic approach to health care. Being able to combine hands-on treatment, injury rehab/ prehab, lifestyle factors and education, is crucial in allowing Sam to provide specific, effective and quality healthcare to all his patients.

In his spare time Sam loves to be physically active, whether that be on the basketball court or in the gym (or anywhere in between). He is passionate to continue to learn and thoroughly enjoys both podcasts and books, particularly anything in the human movement realm.

Bachelor of Health Sciences (Human Anatomy & Physiology), La Trobe University. Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy), Southern School of Natural Therapies


With a background working with elite level Rugby players at the Melbourne Rebels, Mitch is proficient in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation or a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological and chronic pain conditions.

As a passionate Myotherapist, Mitch strives to provide the best possible care and to assist in his patients gaining control of their health and well-being in order to facilitate physical, social and mental recovery from pain through the use of treatment and rehab exercises.

Mitch’s passion is to provide the best possible care and to assist his patients in gaining control over their health. His aim is to facilitate total physical, social and mental recovery through the use of treatment and rehabilitation exercises.

On the weekends Mitch enjoys miniature and terrain painting for tabletop games, gaming and relaxing with friends and family. Looking after his dog and cat whilst also staying active.

Master of Physiotherapy Practice La Trobe University


Yianni completed his studies at La Trobe university in 2017, accomplishing a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy Practice. Following this Yianni has spent several years in private practice, honing his skills, with exposure to a wide range of presentations and pathologies.

Yianni has developed a key interest in all things to do with the lower limb. He specialises mainly on prevention and management of lower limb based injuries, including acute sporting injuries and osteoarthritis.

He also has the capacity to assist people in achieving sporting goals by writing up programs for sporting development purposes. Yianni plans on furthering his studies by undertaking a PhD.

Yianni plays senior footy at the East Burwood Football club, where he tries his best to run off the half-back line. Apart from that, he is a keen boxer and is looking to eventually fight competitively, and enjoys spending time with his partner, and his golden retriever.

Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy, RMIT


Courtney joins us newly graduated from RMIT with a passion for helping clients be the best they can be in every aspect of their lives. Courtney strives to give clients the treatments and awareness they need to be the healthiest version of themselves. With a love for human anatomy and how the body works, Courtney works to ensure clients are able to continue to do what they love.

Courtney has a strong background in the sporting field being involved with basketball, tennis, football and gymnastics and has done volunteer work with the AFL draft, MSAC basketballers and netballers as well as circus performers. Courtney hopes to continue on to work with elite sporting teams in all areas.

Courtney is eager to learn new things being in the industry and can’t wait to expand her knowledge from all the wonderful therapist and staff at Blyss!

Outside of work Courtney loves to play basketball weekly, watching the AFL and NBL and has a strong passion for travelling and exploring.


Paige is currently undergoing a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional and Dietetic medicine). Nutrition explores the process of food and how the body absorbs the nutrients, based on the principle that everything in the body is connected. By looking at nutrition holistically, this refers to treating the person as a whole person and looking at everything that can be causing the imbalance. This includes physical, emotional, social and spiritual stressors in a persons life.  

Paige is passionate about the healing power of the body and using natural remedies and food to restore balance and harmony. As a holistic nutritionist, Paige believes that by treating the cause of the symptoms that the body will be able to thrive. She aims to help people gain knowledge so that they are able to live a healthy life without pain or discomfort.

Prior to working at BLYSS therapies, Paige worked in hospitality for 7 years. You’ll find Paige at the gym, pilates or on long walks with friends at the beach.
