Let’s talk about recovery
Did you know that recovery is one of the most important elements of performance and exercise? Taking time to rest and recover can be mentally challenging, but it is an absolute must!
WHY? Because it’s during this time that the body adapts to the stress of exercise, repairs damaged tissues, and replenishes energy stores. Sufficient recovery also decreases the risk of injury and burnout.
There are so many different things that you can do to enhance your recovery, treatment options include:
- Massage
- Dry Needling
- Functional Cupping
- Joint Mobilisation * Trigger point therapy
- Stretching and Mobility
- Good nutrition, sleep & hydration
- Mindfulness
- Sauna, Cryotherapy, contrast therapy
- Magnesium baths.
THE LIST GOES ON!! Most people have no idea how good the human body is designed to feel, so no matter how stiff and sore you feel following training or in your everyday life, you can take charge of your body to feel better. No matter who you are and what you do I encourage you to begin incorporating recovery into your lifestyle, let me know how you go!
